Brief Thought

You would find it hard to believe the incompetence and apathy we’ve dealt with during this search. You would also find it hard to believe the amazing people we’ve met along the way, and the number of people from the US (and elsewhere) sending prayers and offering practical suggestions. We have also been graced with amazing somewhat behind-the-scenes people who are keeping us fed so we don’t have to give it a second thought. An outpouring of love from many, many “doers of the word.” In EMT school we were told to remember that “it’s not your emergency” – in other words, don’t get emotionally involved. Some of us are deeply emotionally involved in this, and that’s what’s keeping things moving. We appreciate those of you who are coming along for the journey, and especially for the continued prayers. We sung this hymn yesterday, picked randomly by someone who didn’t know about the missing boy: “Thy children shall not faint nor fear, sustained by this assuring thought, since Thou, their God, art everywhere, they cannot be where Thou art not.”
